Abiquiu Lake

Abiquiu Lake is a reservoir located in Abiquiu, New Mexico, United States. The lake was formed by the construction of the Abiquiu Dam on the Rio Chama in 1963. The lake has a surface area of 5,200 acres and a maximum depth of 235 feet. It is a popular destination for fishing, boating, camping, and hiking, with several recreation areas surrounding the lake. The lake is surrounded by scenic red rock cliffs and is also known for its beautiful sunsets.
